But how can communities do this? Rural Health Plus is an evidence-based toolkit showcasing strategies, programs and approaches that you can adapt to fit the needs of your community and the people you serve, allowing you to:

• Learn about common obstacles

• Connect with program experts

• Evaluate your program to show impact

These toolkits have been adapted for Australian-conditions from the Rural Health Information Hub funded the the United States Health Resources and Services Administration.  

 

They have been developed based on a review of rural programs and initiatives and an extensive literature review, to identify evidence-based and promising models. The Toolkit is designed to provide guidance to rural and remote communities interested in undertaking rural health projects in their own towns.
