Dr Iqbal Hussain Joins the Foundation as Consultant Geriatrician

Welcome Dr Iqbal Hussain!

We're delighted to welcome Dr Iqbal Hussain as Consultant Geriatrician to The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia.

Dr Hussain is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with extensive experience caring for older adults with complex health needs. His expertise includes comprehensive geriatric assessment, cognitive impairment, frailty, falls prevention, medication optimisation and the management of complex medical conditions.

Through GP referral, Dr Hussain will work alongside our General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners to provide specialist geriatric assessment and management for people in residential aged care with complex clinical needs.

His appointment marks another important step in expanding access to specialist healthcare for older Australians, helping aged care providers deliver high-quality, person-centred care closer to home.
