Healthy Minds Team hit the road to tackle mental health in rural and remote NSW

Where tight-knit rural and remote communities often face unique challenges, mental health support is not just a service but a lifeline.

Under the National Rural and Remote Suicide Prevention Program (NRRSPP), our dedicated Healthy Minds team attended the Dunedoo and Crookwell Shows, actively working to dismantle stigma surrounding mental health and suicide and provide better access to services.

The NRRSPP includes offering some of our most disadvantaged communities access to:

  • Crisis Support Hotline

  • Face to face crisis intervention

  • Toolbox Talks

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

  • Safe Talk Training and,

  • Mental Healthy First Aid Course

If you are interested in learning more about the program or how the Healthy Minds team can help your community contact Cassie Talbot Manager - Healthy Minds, Healthy Communities ctalbot@thcfa.org.
